Since the 1st of December 2009, when the Lisbon Treaty came into force, the « Treaty instituting the European Community » was replaced by the « Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union ».

The articles, sections, chapters, titles and other parties of the Treaty on the European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union are renumbered.
